DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It has been used for many years and has recently become popular as a must-have treatment.

The build up of dead skin and microscopic hairs can make your complexion appear dull, flaky, and can even cause breakouts due to clogged pores and hair follicles.
Dermaplaning can be used on all skin types and especially for those with rough, dry skin, mild acne scarring, or fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is also safe for pregnant (or nursing) clients who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin.

When to should I arrive? / What if I am going to be late?We suggest that you arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to familiarize yourself with our spa and to change into a robe or fill out client forms if required. You are welcome to arrive earlier if you want to relax and unwind prior to your treatment. When you book an appointment with us, that time is reserved just for you! In return, we kindly ask that you arrive on time so we can give you the best experience possible. When possible please call to let us know if you are running late and we will do our best to accommodate you, however, in consideration of the next guest we may need to limit the time of your treatment.

Do you have any age requirements/restrictions?To ensure the serenity of our Spa and the safety of your Child, we are no longer able to allow children under the age of 12 at Body Polish. Children cannot be left unattended and we ask that they do not accompany you to your appointment. All guests must be 12 years of age or older to enjoy aesthetic treatments. Guests 17 years of age and younger must have parental consent for body treatments. Children under the age of 16 can book a maximum 30 Minute Massage appointment for health reasons.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?Need to reschedule? No problem! You may cancel or change your appointment for any reason up to 24 hours in advance of your appointment time. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, a 50% of service cancellation/no-show fee may be applied. Please note a 48 hour cancellation policy applies for couples and group bookings, spa packages and bookings including 3 or more services in the same visit. GROUPS (2+ people) AND SPA DAY PACKAGES For couples, group bookings, spa packages, or visits with 3 or more services in the same day, we require a credit card number or gift card number on file to hold the appointment and 48 hours notice to cancel or re-schedule. A cancelled spa package or multi-service visit without the required notice will result in 50% cost of the spa service applied to the credit card or gift card. Group Bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit one week prior to the scheduled appointment.

Are appointments required? / Do you take walk-ins?We highly recommend booking your appointment in advance to ensure we have the staff and treatment rooms available for your services. While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, availability is not guaranteed and rare. Feel free to give us a call—we’re happy to check for any last-minute cancellations or openings!

What should I wear to my appointment?Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Spa robes, sandals and towels are provided and our change room includes a selection of essential toiletries, hair dryers and curling irons. Guests are invited to bring their own cosmetics, hairbrush and other supplies if needed. Secured lockers are available to all our guests. For body treatments that are performed without clothing, our staff is trained in draping to ensure your privacy at all times. For pedicure treatments, we’ll provide you with a pair of disposable sandals for your comfort. You are also welcome to bring your own.

What is the environment like at the spa?Body Polish offers a tranquil and relaxing setting for all guests to enjoy. We respectfully ask that you turn your electronic devices off or to vibrate upon your arrival at the spa. Out of respect for other guests, please remember to keep noise levels to a minimum. To ensure the serenity of our Spa and the safety of your Child, we are no longer able to allow Children under the age of 12 at Body Polish.

What happens to my jewelry & valuables during my appointment?There are secured lockers in the spa and baskets available in all treatment rooms for jewelry and valuables. Whenever possible, please leave jewelry and valuables at home. Body Polish Day Spa does not assume any liability for personal items

What is the parking situation?There is ample free parking in front of the spa.

Do you offer direct billing?Yes! We can direct bill for massage therapy services to most major insurance companies, and acupuncture can be direct billed to Blue Cross. Please note that the acceptance of submissions is subject to your insurance provider's provisions. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, we recommend bringing a backup form of payment just in case. If you have any questions about direct billing, feel free to reach out!

Is the spa wheelchair accessible?Yes! Our spa is wheelchair accessible. However certain services do require transferring into a pedicure chair or treatment bed. For guests who require assistance with these transfers, we advise bringing a companion to help ensure a comfortable experience and safety as our staff are not trained in assisted transfers. If you have any mobility concerns, please feel free to contact us or stop by the spa in advance—we’re happy to answer any questions and make any necessary notes for your appointment.

Can I receive treatments while pregnant?Yes! We offer a variety of services that are safe and relaxing during pregnancy. However, there are a few important considerations: - Massage is not recommended during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. - Foot massages may include pressure points that could be contraindicated during pregnancy. If your pedicure includes a foot massage, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to adjust the treatment for your comfort and safety. Do you provide beverages and food?Yes! We offer complimentary water, coffee, and tea for all our guests. If you're looking for something extra, we also have sparkling waters, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages available for purchase, including wine, champagne, mimosas and beer. For guests enjoying a longer spa day, a lunch menu is available and can be enjoyed in our guest lounge. Charcuterie can also be ordered either as a lunch or to enjoy during pedicures. Please contact reception when booking for all lunch or charcuterie requests to ensure we accommodate for any time adjustments or lounge reservations required. Charcuterie orders must be placed at least five days in advance.

What is your product return policy?For the safety and quality of our products, we do not accept returns on opened items. If you have any questions or concerns about a product you purchased, please do not hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help!

What services can I use my Body Polish gift card for?Any manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, massages, laser services, etc, can be paid for using a gift card. Only Botox and Filler from our Nurse Practitioners are NOT redeemable with Body Polish gift cards.
